+ What types of projects do you photograph?

I photograph a range of interior and architectural spaces including residential homes, display homes, retail environments, hospitality venues and commercial interiors. My focus is always on capturing the design intent, atmosphere and detail that define each space.

+ Who do you typically work with?

I work closely with interior designers, builders, architects, developers and brands who value thoughtful, design-led imagery to showcase their work.

+ Where are you based?

Velvet Light is based in Perth, Western Australia, and I have the flexibility to photograph projects across the Perth metropolitan area as well as the South West.

+ Do you travel for shoots?

Yes. While most projects are located in Perth, I also photograph projects throughout Western Australia, including coastal and regional locations. Travel can be arranged depending on the project.

+ How long does a typical shoot take?

Most residential shoots take between two and four hours depending on the size of the property and the number of spaces being photographed. Larger homes or commercial projects may require additional time to ensure each space is captured at its best.

+ Do you assist with styling?

Yes. During the shoot I provide light styling guidance to ensure each space photographs beautifully. This may include adjusting furnishings, artwork or accessories to create balance and visual flow within the frame.

+ When will we receive the images?

Final edited images are typically delivered within seven to fourteen business days via a private online gallery, ready for download and use.

+ How are the images licensed?

Images are licensed for marketing, portfolio and editorial use. Licensing can also be extended to other collaborators such as interior designers, architects or cabinet makers where required.

+ Can multiple collaborators license the images?

Yes. It’s common for multiple collaborators involved in a project — such as builders, interior designers, architects and cabinet makers — to license the images for their own marketing and portfolio use.

+ How do I book a shoot?

You can submit an enquiry through the contact page on the website and I’ll confirm availability and provide a tailored quote based on your project.

+ What preparation is recommended before a shoot?

To achieve the best results, spaces should be fully styled, cleaned and ready to photograph. I’m always happy to provide guidance ahead of the shoot to ensure everything is prepared for the best possible outcome.

+ What time of day is best for photographing interiors?

Natural light plays an important role in interior photography. Shoot times are planned depending on the orientation of the property and how light moves through the space throughout the day.

+ Do you photograph display homes for builders?

Yes. I do photograph display homes and completed residential projects for builders, capturing the craftsmanship, materials and design details that make each home unique.

+ What happens if the weather is poor on the shoot day?

If weather conditions affect the quality of the images, we can adjust the schedule or return for exterior images at a more suitable time.
